Upland defines Legits as “a new suite of NFT offerings designed to enable brands, personalities, and organizations (such as sports clubs, athletes, artists, entertainment brands and more) to extend their real-life presence into the Upland Metaverse and beyond. These new digital assets will enable fans to directly engage with the brands they love in an entirely new way.”
This page is dedicated to centralizing information regarding all types of Legits that exist within Upland. Before diving in, you might be asking yourself what is an NFT, and what good are they – both inside of Upland, and outside of it? Click here to find out more about NFTs.
The first Legits were announced on September 7, 2021 as a licencing agreement with the NFL Players Association (NFLPA). This was the community’s first introduction to how Legits can function in the Metaverse. Beyond football (NFL), the Legits can have similar utility for other sports clubs, athletes, artists, entertainment brands and more – as Upland describes.
