As you begin to level up, the game begins to change, and so will your strategy. There is no right or wrong strategy and there is no way to “win” at Upland. Don’t be discouraged when you see players with a net worth of millions of UPX. You don’t know how much money they have invested, or how long they have been playing for. There is a place for everyone in Upland. This page will detail what you are able to do at each status, as well as some common strategies to help you get to the next level
There are 8 different statuses in Upland: Note that the in game currency UPX is valued at $1 USD = 1000 UPX. (the cryptocurrency UPX is not related and a mere coincidence)
Where net worth is the sum of the following:
Your total UPX value (the amount of liquid UPX you have).
Property value. This is the total amount of UPX spent on properties (minting + secondary market values)
Visitor: < 10,000 UPX net worth
You do not yet own your digital assets. This only happens once you reach uplander status. This is the reason you must renew your visa at least once every 7 days. You can do this by logging in to Upland and within your profile click renew visa. There is no limit to the amount of times you can do this.
You are not able to sell or trade properties (this is because you do not yet own your digital assets)
You are not able to own sparklet, or other assets aside from properties. If you have won spark either through treasure hunting or a contest, you must level up before the item is delivered to you otherwise you forfeit it.
Uplander: 10,001 – 100,000 UPX net worth
You own your digital assets. A digital wallet is created for you on the EOS blockchain. Here all your in game assets are recorded and providing you proof of ownership
You are able to sell and trade your properties on the marketplace
You are able to sell properties for USD after owning it for 14 days.
You are able to list 35 properties for sale in USD at any given time.
Director: 1,000,001 – 10,000,000 UPX net worth
You will be eligible to receive a custom made Block Explorer made to your specifications by the Upland Team. Apply in city hall.
You are guaranteed a 500 sparklet reward when you level up. If you wait until sparklet weekend to level up you will get an additional 20% spark (100) for a total of 600 spark.
You are able to sell properties for USD after owning it for 7 days.
You are able to list 50 properties for sale in USD at any given time.
Executive: 10,000,001 – 100,000,000 UPX net worth
You will be eligible to receive a custom made 3D object to place on one of your properties made to your specifications by the Upland Team. To register you must travel to City Hall
You are guaranteed a 1000 sparklet reward when you level up. If you wait until sparklet weekend  to level up you will get an additional 20% spark (200) for a total of 1200 sparklet.
You are able to sell properties for USD after owning it for 3 days.
You are able to list 75 properties for sale in USD at any given time.
Chief Executive: 100,000,001 - 500,000,000 UPX net worth
You are guaranteed a 2000 sparklet reward when you level up. If you wait until sparklet weekend to level up you will get an additional 20% spark (400) for a total of 2400 sparklet.
You are able to sell properties for USD after owning it for 3 days.
You are able to list 100 properties for sale in USD at any given time.
