Trove Recipes

Recipes are what give troves in Upland a purpose. Whether it is to mint an Uppie, or to progress to create a different type of trove, players are required to collect specific combinations of troves, or recipes. Different Uppies an items will require different recipes. For example, wheat troves and milk troves could be brought to a bakery, and combined to receive bread troves. Bakeries are a form of service structure that will play a large part in the trove economy. Learn more about service structures here. This bread trove isn’t a collectible but something that is required elsewhere. In order to befriend or mint an Uppie, it may require a certain number of bread troves.

There are a variety of troves to be collected in the following categories. As more information about these are released, this page will be updated accordingly.

  • Care
  • Resource – these types of troves are harvested from STEM-bearing plants. These troves can then be exchanged for STEM.
  • Social
  • Utility

Some troves convert directly into STEM, while others are used to create new items, fulfill requests, or unlock progression. Over time, nearly everything in Upland can become part of a recipe, either as an input or an output.
