Similar to World Tourism week 2021, Uplanders are given the opportunity to take tours of the different cities in the Upland Metaverse and earn a block explorer. The main difference between last year’s tours and this year is that there are 10 tours you can take, which is double that of 2021! If you have never taken an Upland tour before, you can learn more on the Upland Guide. We also have completed some of the tours, so if you don’t wish to do them, but to learn about the city and see the sights, you can learn more here.
In 2022, every player who completes all 10 tours will receive the Wayfare explorer, and a raffle will be hold for the World Tourism ’22 explorer, where players will gain entries for each tour they complete during the week. A complete list of tours, dates, and contest rules can be found on this official announcement.
If you are looking to complete some, or all of the tours don’t forget to utilize our discord travel bot that will help you find both the cheapest and fastest routes between any two cities in Upland. If you are looking to complete all 10 tours, I have calculated the travel costs to be 12,405 UPX. The following assumptions are made:
- You start and finish in Los Angeles. If you aren’t in Los Angeles at the beginning, or do not wish to return to LA at the end of the week, your travel costs will differ.
- Cost includes only that of the public transportation itself
- Send fees to terminals are not included
- The cheapest method of travel is taken in all instances
- Travel to Dallas is not included (Dallas is being released during World Tourism Week and would require a detour from the tour route)
