The Upland Construction Hub is a metaverse marketplace that enables Uplanders to build structures they don’t own the blueprints for. With an increasing variety of types of structures that players can construct in the metaverse it will be nearly impossible for any player to have construction ability of all structures. Each service structures is only available for purchase for a limited time. Owning a service or residential structure gives you the indefinite building rights for that structure, called blueprint. The construction hub provides players an opportunity to construct a discontinued blueprint on one of their properties. This is true not only for service structure blueprints, but there are also limited residential structure blueprints that exist.
Players are able to place an UPX offer on the construction hub public marketplace where any player who owns that blueprint is able to accept that offer and then you can begin construction of that blueprint on your property. The steps are as follows:
Select the structure you wish to commission out for building
- Orient the structure on your property.
- Set your price and place an UPX offer for a player who has that structure to commission the build. Stake the minimum amount of Sparklet.
- The player looking to fulfil the contract must travel within range of the property in order to initiate the construction and accept the offer. The first player to do so will complete the job. The UPX will automatically be transferred to the other player’s account. You can only fulfill one contract at a time, and there will be a cooldown period before accepting a new one.
- Stake additional Sparklet to the build in order to speed up construction
To keep the marketplace balanced, contract pricing cannot be set below a minimum percentage of the suggested market price. This price is calculated dynamically based on two factors: the number of players who own the blueprint for that model, and the construction cost of the structure itself. Models with fewer blueprint owners or higher build costs will naturally carry a higher suggested price.
