As a stand alone structure in the Upland metaverse, these boost structures don’t have any functions, but when certain conditions are met these structures will provide you with a boost in certain scores or metrics. Ultimately these boosts are aimed to attract more Uppies to the neighborhoods where those properties are located.
Take for example busses and bus stop terminals. When you have a bus parked on the same property as a bus stop terminal, you will obtain a boost to your transportation score, which factors into the residents score. On the other hand, a terminal without busses parked on them provides no direct benefit of their own. Placing a public bus bus on the same property as a bus stop terminal, you will obtain a boost to your transportation score, which factors into the residents score
When placing a school bus on properties that host Elementary or High School service structures, each unique School Bus will add a multiplier boost to the service score.
Note:Â School Buses do not provide a boost to University service structures
You will receive a service score boost when a police car is parked on Police Station or Police HQ properties.
When placed on a property containing a police department service structure, the van will provide a boost to that structure’s service score
You will receive a service score boost when a taxi is parked on properties with a taxi depot.
Placing a mail service van on a property containing a Post Office, will boost both your transportation and service scores for that property
When placed on a property containing a fire station service structure, the van will provide a boost to that structure’s service score
When placed on a property containing a hospital service structure, the van will provide a boost to that structure’s service score
