Adding structure ornaments to your homes is the metaverse equivalent of decorating your real world home for Halloween or Christmas. There are 6 different seasons in Upland, and you can decorate your homes however you like, whenever you like. Having said that, Upland has challenges that will reward players who choose to decorate their homes with ornaments that correspond to the active Upland season. In order to receive points towards the challenge, you must decorate your home with a structure ornament that is part of the active season. Watch this YouTube shorts video to learn how to decorate your property, or learn more about structure ornaments here. Each home decorated that meets these requirements earns you points. The top 25 decorators of each category will win prices – make sure to check Upland’s official announcement for the prizes, as they are subject to change from season to season. At the bottom of this page are step by step instructions on the activities you need to complete to earn points in this challenge. The following is the scoring calculation:
- Collection Points: Based on the property collection rarity.
- Total Mint Supply Points: The total mints of the applied structure ornament
- Structure Type Points: Based on the type of structure on the property
- Manufacturer Factor: Applied to the total points based on the user who manufactured the structure ornament
The equation is Total points = (Collection Points + Total Mint Supply Points + Structure Type Points) X Manufacturer Factor
Each of these parameters are identified through the image below:
- Manufacturer Factor: Black background means it was created by an Uplander. Backgrounds with designs are those created by Upland
- Structure Type
- Total Mint Supply
- Season: Note you only receive points of the ornament is of the active season
- Collection Points
For example, the example above provides 11 points, which (4 collection pts + 2 supply points + 5 structure points) x 1 manufacturer factor. This is assuming that the active season is the harvest season, and that you are not the manufacturer of the ornament.
These ornament challenges are divided by Uplander status enabling Uplanders & Pros, Directors, Executives & above to compete on more level playing fields against others of similar status. Players who compete in these challenges can win collection properties, block explorers, sparklet, badges and lore legits. There are seasonal winners in each of the 3 different status categories. Each season has a different badge and can be seen above.
